Default Warehouse When Shipping

When shipping an individual order that has some products allocated to more than one warehouse it can cause confusion at the packing station. Sometimes packers who are in a rush accidentally ship the items for the wrong warehouse, or they have to slow down and double check every order before shipping

Now when you go to ship an order the users Default Warehouse for that order will load first. Meaning your packers can work fast with the confidence that they are shipping the right part of the order.

To set the default warehouse for your users go to Settings>Users. Edit the user and choose the warehouse from the Default Warehouse option.

For more information on setting Default warehouses check out This Guide

Shipping API Beta

Veeqo already supports many shipping carriers, but sometimes you still may need to ship some orders using an unsupported carrier. With the new Shipping API you can use your own development team to integrate any of your additional carriers into Veeqo.

  • Show Rates & Services - You'll be able to see your custom carriers rates so you can continue to compare them against any other carriers you have connected.
  • Print Shipping Labels - Create shipping labels for each of your orders.

The Shipping API is currently only available to those on the Enterprise Plan or for partners developing integrations for the Veeqo Appstore. If you have a development team ready to build a shipping integration for you please fill out This Form to join our Shipping API Beta.

For more information check out the Help Guide.

Currency Mismatch On DHL Shipments

When creating international shipments the currency displayed on the Customs documentation and the shipping label did not match. This causes some shipments to be slightly delayed when being checked by customs.

The order currency is used on both the printed customs documents and shipping labels.

Automatically Create Royal Mail Manifests

Sometimes it's easy to forget to create Royal Mail manifests, especially if you've already created one for orders shipped earlier that day!

Veeqo will now take care of this by automatically creating Royal Mail manifests at 11pm every day. This way you can be reassured that these un-manifested packages won't get lost or delayed as they make their way to your customers.

For more information on Royal Mail check out This Guide.

Prevent Shipping Zero Weight Orders With Royal Mail

Veeqo allowed you to ship using Royal Mails service "INTL BUS PARCELS TRACKED COUNTRY PRICED" without setting a weight. This would result in Royal Mail having to update your Royal Mail invoices to be charged correctly.

To avoid issues with billing Veeqo will prevent you from shipping without setting a weight.

Trouble Fetching Amazon Shipping Rates

When attempting to get rates using Amazon Shipping some users were reporting that no rates were being returned. This was because the accounts were failing to automatically re-authorise with Amazon Shipping.

UPS WorldWide Economy Express

UPS WorldWide Express Economy is a service that allows you to group multiple shipments going to the same country together. This can save you money if you frequently ship lots of items to the same destination.

Note: This service is only supported when using your own UPS account. It is not available using Veeqo's UPS Discounted Rates. It is also only supported when shipping individual orders and not on the bulk shipping screen.

For more information on how to setup this service and start shipping check out This Guide

Internaltional DHL Returns Labels

For destinations that don't support paperless trade documents the DHL Express return label would fail to generate. To solve this we now use the following services as standard for any DHL Express return label created in Veeqo

  • Domestic Returns - Cheapest service
  • Europe Returns - Express Europe
  • Worldwide returns - Express WorldWide

For more information on creating Returns labels in Veeqo using DHL Express check out This Guide.

Avoid Multiple Allocations by Default

Veeqo makes allocation more seamless.

By default, Veeqo now assumes retailers will ship goods allocated from the same warehouse in the same package.

Inventory will now automatically be added to one allocation per warehouse. This enables you to ship all goods in one package without the manual effort of changing allocations.

How does it work?

  • If this applies to your business, no further action is required. Keep the checkbox checked (in red below) when allocating inventory to an order.
  • If you would like to split a shipment across multiple packages, you can uncheck the checkbox. Please see this guide for more details.

Multi-Piece Shipments - Saved Package Beta

For some carriers you can ship multiple parcels to the same customer for a cheaper rate than creating individual shipments.

For those who are already on the Saved Packages beta we are starting to role out the option to create these multi-piece shipments.

You'll be able to choose from any of the carrier or custom packages you have saved, or enter custom dimensions and weights for each additional package.
